 Colour ranges from yellow through light orange and a variety of pastels - depending upon the clay and mineral content of the region of manufacture. They both mix well. Over the years these brick have developed their own unique patina within the building, industrial/mill town exposure, and exposure to the elements. Some of the 'Old Chicago's' are from a Pullman Railroad car assembly building and a Studebaker car manufacturing plant.
